Manhunt In The Marina: Woman Robbed Then Shot In Parking Structure
A suspect is still at large after a reported shooting and robbery inside a parking structure in Marina Del Rey. "Deputies found a 44-year-old White female lying face down near a pool area in Marina Del Rey Thursday night, with a gunshot wound to her lower back," according to a LASD news release.
They had responded to the scene after receiving a call of "shots fired" at 9:55PM, July 21, at the 13900 block of Tahiti Way, Marina Del Rey. While being transported to a local hospital for treatment, the victim was able to communicate that she had been in the parking area of the location standing near her car, when she was approached...
The victim described the assailant as "a Black male in his mid 30’s, driving a white Mercedes Benz (no license plate)." He reportedly asked her for directions, and feeling "as if she was going to be robbed" she handed her purse to the suspect and ran. Three shots were fired at the fleeing woman, striking her once in the lower back.
