Amy Winehouse, 27, was found dead in her London flat today at approximately 4pm, local London time, according to the Daily Mail Reporter.
The singer-songwriter, notorious for her substance abuse and mental health issues, won five Grammys for her acclaimed 2006 album Back to Black, making her the first British singer to achieve such honor.
After being booed offstage during a performance in Belgrade earlier this summer, the singer cancelled her European tour, as reported by the Daily Mail Reporter. She allegedly arrived on-stage an hour late, stumbling and mumbling through her "unrecognizable" songs.
Pulling the plug on performances was not uncommon for the songstress who cancelled her 2009 Coachella set due to UK legal woes.
The cause of death is currently unknown.
