Young Man's Body Parts Found Stuffed in Garbage Bag, Stashed in Back Yard

Authorities in Pico Rivera are investigating the death of a young male, thought to be in his late teens or early 20s, whose body parts were found stuffed in a garbage bag and stashed in the back yard of a home.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives were sent to the 8500 block of Pico Vista Road at around 8:30 Wednesday night, according to the LASD.

A man at the scene reportedly told local media outlets he believed the body was that of a local gang member, reports L.A. Now. Others say they thought the young man had been renting the residence for about a month.

"Officials have not released the manner of death or if the man was a victim of foul play. No arrests have been made," notes CBS2.
