Tyler hinted that he, a fifth-year senior at the prestigious private university, and others get paid to play on the football team. "When asked by TMZ whether he could make more money at USC or in the NFL, Tyler said, 'USC, they breaking bread,' making a gesture indicating a large stack of money," reports the Associated Press via CBS2.
USC coach Lane Kiffin wasn't so delighted with his top rusher's thoughts. Add to that Tyler's "two alcohol-related problems in April," and the buck may have stopped here. Tyler, a graduate of Oaks Christian in Westlake Village and a sociology major at 'SC, will not play in the September opener against Minnesota, and more disciplinary action could follow.
Tyler, via a school-issued statement, blames his troubles of late on "personal issues."
