Drug Use May Have Fueled Fatal Spouse Stabbing in Long Beach
A fatal stabbing in the early Monday morning hours may have been fueled by the drug use of both the suspect and the victim. Authorities in Long Beach responded to a call from an apartment at around 1:30 this morning, and discovered one man in the unit who was dead, and a woman who may have killed him in self-defense.
Neighbors say they heard screaming and a possible domestic altercation taking place in the past, and believe both the man and woman were crack cocaine users.
The woman was treated for minor injuries, and detectives are investigation if the killing was an act of self-defense.
