Carmadeggon Time-Lapse Video: Mulholland Drive Bridge Demolition

Carmageddon proved to be a surprising success. Locals obeyed requests to practice a car-free weekend, resulting in clear roads, sunny skies and a sprawl like we've never seen it: extraordinarily navigable.

But let's not forget the project at hand or the diligent workers who managed to wrap their mission sixteen hours ahead of schedule.

Today's video lunch showcases the Mulholland Drive bridge demolition via a brilliant time-lapse video created by LA Times video journalist Jeff Amlotte.

Using two cameras, Amlotte shot a total of 21 different angles throughout the weekend, according to the LA Times. One camera recorded six frames every two minutes over 48 hours. The other, a "roaming" camera, documented those 20 other angles.
