We're Not In Hollywood Anymore: Actors Jake Gyllenhaal & Michael Peña Encounter L.A. Gang Violence
Actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña witnessed real-life gang violence yesterday while researching roles for the upcoming cop drama flick, End of Watch.
While accompanying LAPD 77th Street Division police officers on a police cruise, the men responded to the scene of an alleged gang shooting in South Los Angeles at the intersection of Second Avenue and West 57th Street around 11:30pm, as reported by KTLA.
Police officials expect the male victim, shot in the eye by rival gang members, to survive.
As for the assailants? They managed to escape without arrest.
Perhaps Peña and Gyllenhaal can bone up on their method acting skills by aiding in the investigation.
