Glee club will be a thing of the past for three of "Glee's" regular stars - Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith - as high school graduation nears. The "Glee" regulars will not be returning for the show's fourth season, as reported by CBS LA.
"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy explains that these characters, among others, will graduate at the finale of the show's third season, which premieres this fall.
“You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year," Murphy told the Hollywood Reporter.
How will the glee club survive without Rachel's competitive antics, Finn's wavering romances and graceful dance moves and Kurt's adventures in teenage homosexuality? Planning beyond high school will be one of season three's themes, and “more characters are leaving than are staying," noted Murphy.
