Pets of the Week: Truffles & Swiss Mister
Meet Truf (short for Truffles), a 1 year old Pit/Mastiff mix, who is housebroken, crate trained, good with kids, and prefers small dogs to larger ones. Truf got his nickname because of the pig-like snorting noise he makes as if he were searching for truffles.
If you've been looking for a dog that represents the term "man (and woman's) best friend," then look no further. Truf is fun, loving, silly, outgoing, goofy, and super friendly to everyone he meets.
Truf boats a robust resume having just won 3rd place for Best in Show and 1st place for Best Pit Mix and Best Smile at Nuts for Mutts, a fundraiser for Truf's current home, New Leash on Life.
Nothing can get this happy boy down and his puppy-like zest for life is sure to make you smile. Truf will be your best friend and loyal companion for all his days. So, come get him already -- he's waiting!
New Leash On Life is dedicated to the welfare of pets and the community through education and therapeutic programs for children, adults and abandoned animals. Their mission is not only rescuing and placing homeless animals, but educating the public.
If you'd like to meet Truf, contact New Leash on Life's adoption manager at adopt@nlol.org or (661) 255-0097. NLOL holds mobile adoptions all over Los Angeles. Check their full schedule for upcoming dates and times.
