Marvel Issues KISS Comic Book Using Ink Mixed With Band Members' Blood
On June 30, 1977 "Marvel Comics published a magazine-format full-color Kiss Comic Book presenting the band as superheroes," notes Retro Rebirth. For today's video lunch we remember the highly questionably decision to mix the blood of each band member into the comic's ink. Drawn by a registered nurse and witnessed by a notary public, Kiss blood was reportedly poured into the ink vats at Marvel's Borden Ink plant in Depew, New York. Yeesh.
