TV Junkie: 'Louie'/'Wilfred' Premiere Tonight on FX

The season premiere of "Louie" is finally here, tonight at 10:30pm. Above is our quick interview with Louis C.K. from the season 2 premiere party at Caroline's comedy club in New York City (see the full post on the event here). Please also check out our exclusive interview with Louis on location (or listen to it here) and another that we did with him earlier this year. Season two of "Louie" will grab you from the very first scene of tonight's episode - we've seen the first 4 and they're all amazing. Last night Louis was on the "Tonight Show" making it the first time it was funny in quite a while. If you want more of him, CNN has a quick interview with him also available and worth checking out.

Tonight also marks the series premiere of FX's "Wilfred" at 10pm. Starring Elijah Wood, the series is a remake of an Australian show that lasted a couple of short seasons. I thought the show was funny but it's sometimes dark and extremely quirky which may not sit right with a lot of people but we suggest you give it a try.

White Stripes/Jack White and Stephen Colbert fans have reason to celebrate as the two plan to collaborate on an album. For a taste of what it might sound like, watch "The Colbert Report" tonight as a performance is planned.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like “Wilfred” but it was definitely worth giving it at least one try and turns out, I do enjoy it.  I’ve been telling people to watch it but I know many fans of the show are with DIRECTV and I’d be upset if I couldn’t watch this show either.  I know how DIRECTV customers are feeling because I was a DISH Network employee last year when the same thing happened and it wasn’t fun.  Thankfully, DISH Network has signed a long term agreement so I don’t have to worry about losing my channels for a long time!

Agreed that the pilot episode of Louie was excellent. This critic said great things about it: http://tvrot.com/2011/06/louie...

  • I recommend Wilfred as well. The pilot is excellent, I just hope that the "dark and extremely quirky" elements don't turn people away :/ Thankfully, I trust FX to give it some time

  • At the very least FX will all the episodes that have been shot, they are an incredibly supportive network.
