Octomom Doctor Wants To Keep License

After having his license revoked by the Medical Board of California, the doctor that provided Nadya Suleman with in vitro treatments resulting in her 14 children is appealing the decision.

Dr. Michael Kamrava filed a petition in an LA court today asking the court to let him keep his license past the July 1 date of revocation, reports the AP. He plans to file an appeal, stating that the board exceeded its jurisdiction in taking away his license, and that he will not be able to make a living if he can't practice medicine.

When the decision was made to revoke Kamrava's license at the beginning of this month, the board pointed not just to Suleman but to two other patients with which Kamrava was neglectful, reports msnbc.

In one instance, he implanted seven embryos in a 48-year-old patient, and in another he proceeded with in vitro fertilization despite the fact that his patient had tests that indicated she may have cancer. She later had to have her uterus and ovaries removed.

He should have thought about keeping his license and his job before doing unethical medical procedures, too late now.
