Conan O'Brien Makes Another Plea For a Street Named in His Honor
Not long ago, Conan O'Brien announced that he wanted a street in LA named after him. His plea came about after his long-time nemesis, Oprah Winfrey, had her name permanently lent to a road in Chicago.
As part of his request, O'Brien even identified his street of choice: West Raymer Street in Van Nuys, which is the kind of roadway that is adorned on either side with graffiti, lacking in pavement but instead relying on good old dirt as its base, and with barbed wire lining the perimeter.
As of today, O'Brien still hasn't heard back from the Mayor about his request, and so he's upped the anti. In the following video, O'Brien documents the renovations he made, using his own money, to beautify his beloved future street, including adding some signage and landscaping, as well as an attendant for the street's port-a-potty.
