L.A. is never at a loss for events. Here are our top picks for tonight’s local offerings.

A rumor exists which claims L.A.'s night sky is devoid of stars. See for yourself at tonight’s Astronomy Night Hike. If physical exercise lacks appeal this evening, take a seat at Cinefamily’s Silent Movie Theatre and enjoy Sunrise. Or opt to do good and attend one of two benefits - Billabong’s Design for Humanity and Ha-Has for ta-tas.

NATURE
Slip on your hiking boots and join Santa Monica Mountain Conservancy's Volunteer Naturalist Astronomer Pat for Double Delight: Sunset and Moonrise. Participants will hike one-half mile of the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Reserve (formerly Ahmanson Ranch) to the viewing platform and back. 7pm-9pm. Free.

FILM & MUSIC
Silent Wednesdays, Cinefamily's June series, presents Sunrise scored live by multi-instrumentalist Brian LeBarton and guest drummer Joey Waronker. Regarded as one of the best films of the 1920s, this morality tale showcases director F.W. Murnau's expert German Expressionist techniques and stars George O'Brien, Margaret Livingston and Janet Gaynor. 8pm. 95min. Tickets: $10/Free for members.

FASHION & MUSIC BENEFIT*
Billabong launches its fifth annual Design for Humanity benefit naming The VH1 Save the Music Foundation as the beneficiary. Set in the NY Street Backlot at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, this eclectic outdoor block party includes two concert stages, street performers, a bikini runway fashion show, art show auctions, art installations, food trucks, a slew of bars, live DJs and live t-shirt screen printing. All proceeds are donated to The VH1 Save the Music Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to restoring music education in public schools. Speaking of music, tonight's headliner is the theatrical Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros with Hanni El Khatib, The Hundred In The Hands and B.L.O.R.R. rocking the side stage. 7pm-1am. General Admission: $30. VIP Admission: $99 and includes access to VIP street party.

COMEDY BENEFIT
Typically, breast cancer is no laughing matter. But tonight it is. The Save the ta-tas Foundation and Hollywood's Laugh Factory host the second annual Ha-Has for ta-tas: Bigger & Better comedy show benefit, boasting an all-star comedy lineup including Dov Davidoff, Iliza Shlesinger, Steve Simeone, Kevin Farley and more. All proceeds benefit The Save the ta-tas Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to curing breast cancer. Aside from giggling, slapping knees and wiping eyes, audience members may purchase ta-tas merchandise and participate in a silent auction/raffle to score merchandise from local vendors. 7:30pm-9:45pm. Doors open at 7:30pm; show starts at 8pm. General Admission: $20. VIP Admission: $40 and includes balcony seating access, private bar and catered treats by L.A.-based Always Cookin'.
