Man Charged With Murder After Hitting Father and Brother With SUV
A Sylmar man who allegedly ran over his father and brother with an SUV was charged today with murder, reports KCBS.
Martin Martinez, 26, had reportedly been arguing with family members about a lost dog and a broken door on Tuesday evening. The fight had come to blows and spilled outside, at which point Martinez is accused of getting in the SUV and driving into both men.
Francisco Martinez, 62, was pronounced dead at the scene. Martin's brother, whose name has not been released, broke both legs.
Martinez is being held for $1 million bail, and will return to court on June 22, reports the San Jose Mercury News.
