The 405? The 110 to the 105? Surface streets? There is more than one way to get to Los Angeles International Airport, however a woman in her 20s was stabbed and had a gun pointed at her by the relative giving her a ride to the airport when she questioned the route he was taking.

The incident took place late last night, as the woman and the suspect, to whom she is related by marriage, were on their way to LAX for her red eye flight to New York, reports the Daily News. The two had become involved in an argument about the driver's route, and consequently the driver, whose name the authorities have not released, stabbed and held a gun to her.

The woman was dropped off near Terminal 2 shortly after midnight. Authorities say they will take the suspect into custody today.

"See if I take you to the airport next time..."

  • Hey, she still got a free ride to the airport... what's a stab wound right? ;)  If the airport pickup/dropoff is the ultimate sign of friendship, then does the stabbing cancel it out?
