Parole Agent Tip Led To Suspect Arrest In Bryan Stow Attack

Police in the Sunday morning SWAT apprehension of one of the two men suspected in the brutal beating of Giants fan Bryan Stow were led to the individual on a tip from a parole agent, reports the L.A. Times. The agent alerted LAPD detectives of his suspicions "that a parolee under his supervision may have been one of the attackers."

Officials did not elaborate on how or why the agent suspected the man, nor did they release any information gathered in the search of the suspect's apartment. A warrant was served at a second location close to where the man was apprehended, notes the L.A. Times. It is believed the second location is tied to the suspect in custody and not the second suspect.

The apartment building manager reportedly saw the man "coming and going" in recent months, but noted he was not a long time resident. She said the two-bedroom unit was occupied by a woman, her husband, their two adult children, and the woman’s brother. All people found in the unit Sunday morning were detained by police.

A news conference is scheduled for 4:00p.m. on Sunday.
