High School Fire Set Intentionally, Say Investigators
$250,000 in damage caused by a Saturday morning fire at Bloomington High School in San Bernardino County was the result of arson, fire investigators believe, reports KTLA.
Firefighters responded to the blaze about 3:49 a.m. at the high school at 10750 Laurel Ave. in an unincorporated part of San Bernardino County. The fire burned inside the school's administration building, according to a news release.About 45 firefighters brought the blaze under control in about 40 minutes. They contained the fire to the administration building, but the structure -- and everything inside it -- was a complete loss, according to the news release.
No one was injured in the blaze and school officials are working to clean the campus before Monday when students are set to return. The fire is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the San Bernardino County Fire Department at 909-356-3805 or anonymously at 1-800-47-ARSON (800-472-7766).
