The 10-year-old Riverside boy who allegedly shot and killed his father, neo-Nazi Jeffrey R. Hall, told police that he was "tired of his dad hitting him and his mom," according to court documents released by LA Now.

Hall, a leader of the National Socialist Movement, was found dead in his home on May 1, lying on the couch with a gunshot wound to the head. His son later told police that he had retrieved a gun from a closet -- where all of the kids knew it to be located -- took aim at his father's ear, and shot.

In a statement, the boy's stepmother, Krista F. McCary, told police that Hall punished all of his children harshly, but was especially violent with the 10-year-old -- the oldest of five -- yelling at him, punching him and kicking him, sometimes in the back. The boy had been on shooting excursions with his father and knew how to use a gun, and had also been to neo-Nazi rallies with his skinhead dad.

The boy is being charged with murder, and may file a plea of insanity. McCary faces charges of child endangerment.
