Police are investigating the events leading to an officer-involved shooting of a man who tried to run over police with his car outside a nightclub in North Hollywood early Saturday morning.

The suspect, who remains at large, is now wanted for felony hit-and-run with serious bodily injury, sexual battery and attempted murder on a police officer.

Police were responding to a call around 3 a.m. outside Hacienda Corona nightclub where the suspect had allegedly sexually battered a woman inside the club, reports ABC7.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall, approximately 200 pounds with a crew cut or a mohawk.
