The Calla Lilies Are In Bloom Again: Happy Birthday, Kate!
Katharine Hepburn, born on this day in 1907, always said she would rather people not remember her, that she thought a person went absolutely nowhere after they died, and that it wouldn't mean a thing to her if they burned all her old films. For most of her life in the public eye, the Connecticut Yankee in Hollywood's royal court of silver screen stars told everyone her birthday was November 8th, which was actually the birthdate of her deceased older brother. Today's video lunch, whether she would like it or not, is a (tiny!) celebration of the Great Kate.
