Charges Will Not Be Filed in Arclight Rape Case
No charges will be filed against a man who allegedly raped a woman in the Arclight parking lot, reports ABC 7.
The incident occurred at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, when a 20-something woman reportedly became separated from her group of friends while heading to her car. It was first reported that she was assaulted by more than one person, but later became clear that Chris Cardoza, 23, was the only other person involved.
Cardoza was arrested on Monday at his workplace and released on Wednesday.
According to LA Now, investigators didn't turn up enough evidence to press charges. ABC 7 notes that the according to police, Cardoza was involved in the incident but "the matter involved two intoxicated people."
