Mariah Carey Names Son After a Room, Daughter After a Dead Actress

Well, Moroccan gets to tell people that he was named after a room. Specifically, "the top floor of Carey's New York apartment which has a Moroccan-inspired décor." Luckily for Moroccan, his parents did not have an affinity for Shabby Chic or Southwestern. The lovebirds were reportedly engaged in the Moroccan Room in 2008. The only twin to get one, Moroccan's middle name, Scott, comes from a name in the Cannon family.
Middle name-less Monroe owes her name to...you guess it: Marilyn Monroe. Nevermind that the tragic starlet's last name was totally made up (what, Baker or Mortenson didn't seem right?), Carey says that Monroe is her favorite actress.
We're guessing that, in watching reruns of "I Love Lucy," Carey and Cannon didn't get the joke when Ricky Ricardo told Lucy, "Okay. Unique if it's a boy, and Euphonious if it's a girl."
