Teen Walks Onto Freeway in Apparent Suicide

Samantha Rocha Dyer, 15, of Acton, CA was killed last night when she stepped in front of a moving vehicle on the 14 freeway, reports the Daily News.

The girl was seen walking along the shoulder of the road when she apparently deliberately walked into the path of a 2007 Mazda sedan driven by 30-year-old Marc Zuber of Palmdale. Zuber may have been going up to 65 miles per hour, and pulled over and waited for the California Highway Patrol after striking Dyer.

Zuber wasn't cited in the incident, and it's unclear what Dyer's mental state was when she walked in front of his car.
