Mutilated Cats' Remains Found in El Monte Park
Authorities are asking the public for help in an animal cruelty investigation after gruesome discoveries of the remains of four cats at El Monte's Rio Vista Park (map).
All of the animals had been duct taped and tortured in a similar fashion, leading El Monte police to believe there may be a serial cat torturer at large, according to the SGV Tribune.
The mutilated remains were discovered in separate instances in recent weeks, reports ABC7, in both cases the animals were found bound and gagged. According to KTLA, at least one was found with its stomach cut open and its leg skinned.
El Monte police are asking anyone with information to call them at 626-580-2109.
