Row Row Row Your Song: L.A. River Song Competition

Got flow? In collaboration with the L.A. River Day of Service, the City of Los Angeles is presenting a youth songwriting competition called the Songs of the L.A. River project where local lyricists and composers aged 6-18 are invited to to write and submit an original musical number inspired by the Los Angeles River.

The top two submissions will win a chance to perform their song with Grammy-winning band Ozomatli at the L.A. River Day of Service on April 30, according to the Council District 13 website via Eastsider LA).

To enter, email a video file or YouTube link of your performance to LARiverSongs@gmail.com. The original submission deadline of April 15 has been EXTENDED! Applicants now have until Aprill 22 to craft and send a watery opus.
