Chef Mark Gold of Eva Restaurant and Chef Dave Danhi of The Grilled Cheese Truck host a grilled cheese pairing tonight at Eva from 6-10 pm. A four-course Grilled Cheese Pairing Menu will be available for $35 and a Five-Course Grilled Cheese Pairing Menu (which adds Danhi’s Truffled Mac and Cheese Melt, along with Gold’s Butter Poached Lobster) for $50 to celebrate National Grilled Cheese Month. Add a wine pairing for an additional $20. Reservations are a hot commodity for this one-night only event.

Writers Bloc presents Lincoln Lawyer author Michael Connelly in conversation with screenwriter John Romano tonight at 7:30 pm in the Writers Guild Theater. Mickey Haller is “The Lincoln Lawyer” who practices law out of the back of his Lincoln Town Car, with surprisingly good results. In his new novel, The Fifth Witness, Connelly sits the legal eagle at his defense table with an unlikeable client who may or may not be guilty. Connelly will be in coversation with John Romano, who wrote the screenplay for The Lincoln Lawyer movie, starring Matthew McConaughey. Tickets: $20.

DISCUSSION
The Architecture and Design Museum of Los Angeles presents Aerotropolis: The Way We’ll Live Next by journalist Greg Lindsay (co-written with John D. Kasarda). He’ll be in conversation about the book with architecture blogger and writer Geoff Manaugh tonight at 6 pm. Aerotropolis is a book about what the world’s cities will look like as they are designed (or re-designed) according to the logic of globalization. RSVP: rsvp@aplusd.org

The Kirk Douglas Theater, Center Theater Group presents The Cripple of Inishmaan (Druid) as part of Imagine Ireland - A year of Irish arts in America. The comedy, set in 1934 on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland, where the word arrives that a Hollywood director is making a film. Opens at The Kirk Douglas Theater tonight at 8 pm. Runs through May 1.
