Man Named Zen Attacks In-Laws With Samurai Sword
Singleton
During the course of the March 22 afternoon attack, Singleton's 50-year-old father-in-law was cut "through his thigh above the knee," while his 24-year-old brother in law "suffered a six-inch gash across his forehead from a piece of glass." Both of the men were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Hemet Police say Singleton was discovered "sitting on a curb in front of the home." He was immediately arrested "on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary and vandalism," and is being held on $1.02 million bail. A motive for the violent outburst has not been determined.
