Tonight marks the one-year anniversary party of the Lomography store in WeHo, so those fine folks are throwing themselves a party from 6-10 pm tonight. Open bar, free food, live entertainment and a raffle of Lomographic goodies (think analog photography). RSVP recommended.
THEATER
Circle X presents the late-night, one-man show Violators will be Violated at new Atwater Village Theatre complex tonight. It's an experimental, almost wordless theater experience that "has more destruction, mayhem, murder, ambition and special effects than an action film but it’s only one guy, with no props or set, relying solely on the physical story-telling of an elastic, adorable, frequently hostile performer." Created and Performed by Casey Smith and directed by Jennifer A. Skinner. Opens tonight at 10:30 pm and runs on Fridays and Saturdays through March 19. Tickets: $15.
WINE
Did you know that today is National Wine Day? Napa Valley Grille in Westwood sure does. Throughout the day, patrons can play the “Guess the Grape” game led by Wine Director Christina Sherwood. You get a taste of a mystery Napa Valley wine not listed on the regular menu, and if you guess the grape varietal correctly, you win a complimentary glass of wine. The restaurant features exclusively California producers with a focus on smaller, boutique wineries.
THEATER
Zombie Joe's Underground presents Adam Neubauer's absurd new comedy Melodrama. The play follows one man's struggle to find his father's murderer, while dealing with his "freakishly deceptive friends and family." Fridays and Saturdays at 8:30 pm. Opens tonight at 8:30 pm and runs Fridays and Saturdays through March. 12. Tickets: $15.
MUSIC
The Los Angeles Seasons Concert Series debuts tonight with a performance by The Red Quartet, an ensemble of guitar, violin, cello and vocals, with a repertoire that includes classical and futuristic pieces. They'll do three sets with guests the Borodin Quartet, jazz vocalist Dwight Trible and hot funk/soul/house spinner DJ Mando Fever. 7pm at the Santa Monica Bay Woman's Club. Tickets: $30.
