WTF Is Going on With Actor Frankie Muniz?

Child star grown up Frankie Muniz is having some tough times lately, and with each day the headlines about the actor keep getting more bizarre and troubling. Today the AP says "Police take gun away from actor Frankie Muniz," (via the Daily Breeze). Apparently Muniz and his girlfriend Elycia Turnbow got into a heated discussion about their past relationships at his Phoeniz, Arizona home, and Muniz "pulled out a gun and held it against his head." Muniz told the cops the gun wasn't loaded, but when they searched the home and found the weapon in a closet, they say it actually was.

Fearing the "Malcolm in the Middle" star was suicidal, Turnbow had some buddies come and take Muniz to a hospital. But Muniz was back home by 10 that night, says TMZ, who say that the pair got into it again, and again, their stories about what happened are coming up different:

According to the police report, Elycia says, Frankie "punched her in the back of the head, and threw her into a wall while in the downstairs bedroom."

Muniz denied punching Elycia, telling cops, "I love her too much. She is the woman I want to marry."

Muniz told cops ... what actually happened was that he was sleeping but awakened "by Elycia yelling at him and hitting him in the face." Muniz said he was defending himself when "Elycia fell to the ground and started to kick the bedroom door."

A police report says Elycia Turnbow claims Muniz pulled out a gun and held it against his head last Friday night after the two were arguing about prior relationships.

Turnbow told police that she was worried that the 25-year-old Muniz might be suicidal, so she called one of his band mates to take him to a hospital.

The star of the "Malcom in the Middle" TV show told police that the gun wasn't loaded. But The Arizona Republic reports officers retrieved the gun from a downstairs closet of Muniz's home and it was loaded.

Muniz's publicist says the actor wasn't arrested, wasn't suicidal and Turnbow wasn't assaulted.
