TV Junkie: KCET Goes To Live Feeds From Egypt; Super Bowl Shenanigans

NFL Announces Delay of Super Bowl To Give Doritos Time To Finish Commercial

Tonight on Comedy Central

Be sure to check out our interview with Joan and Melissa Rivers from earlier today - their new show "Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best" airs at 9pm on WeTV tonight.

We just received a note from KCET that they are adjusting their programming in order to more fully cover the crisis in Egypt: starting at 3pm today, they will be broadcasting Al Jazeera and other English-speaking outlets live feeds from the region. Who do you think is providing the best coverage of the crisis in Egypt?

Check out "The Onion SportsDome" clip above announcing that the NFL is delaying the Super Bowl so that Doritos can finish shooting their commercial. On a related note, The Hollywood Reporter conducted a poll that projects 78% of Americans will watch the Super Bowl - that's up 10% from last year. Sounds like Sunday afternoon is an incredible opportunity to hit the mall or go to that restaurant you can never get reservations at.

We're on the awards show tip this week. Not only did we score 7 out of 8 on our SAG Awards TV picks, and post our interview today with red carpet hosts Joan and Melissa Rivers, but we have this tidbit to share: the Hollywood Foreign Press Association can't get its story straight about an offer to Ricky Gervais to host next year's Golden Globes. Despite the HFPA slanting their correspondence to paint Gervais as the bloke trying to pull a fast one, we think we'd side with Gervais over an organization that is facing multiple lawsuits and accusations for fraud and payola.
