An extremely loud crash reportedly woke up much of a residential neighborhood on Monday night after a slow-speed pursuit in Pasadena escalated into a "violent T-bone crash in Covina," reports ABC Local.

A male suspect was arrested, and the woman hit was taken to a local hospital with internal injuries and multiple broken bones. Police report the pursuit began just before 11 p.m. with a traffic violation in Old Town Pasadena and, though slow, spanned much of the San Gabriel Valley.

Officers attempted to end the chase with a side-swiping PIT maneuver, however, the suspect -- identified only as a man in his 40s -- plowed through the intersection of Puente Street and Barranca Avenue hitting another car. After the collision, a dog reportedly jumped out of the suspect's vehicle, and has not yet been found. The suspect was Tased and taken to County-USC Medical Center.
