Student Who Brought Gun to Gardena High Charged Today
The teenager who is accused of bringing a loaded gun into Gardena High School was charged with two felonies today, according to ABC7. The 17-year-old is facing "one count of possessing a firearm in a school zone and one count of discharging a firearm in a school zone." The gun was fired from inside the student's backpack. Two classmates were critically wounded; the 15-yer-old boy has been released from the hospital while the 15-year-old girl remains in critical condition. Arraignment is tomorrow; prosecutors have asked the teen be tried as an adult.
