Tonight In Rock: Dashboard Confessional, Foster The People, Rumspringa, No Joy
Our Pick: Foster The People, LESANDS, Hot As Sun @ The Echo
Tonight Florida-bred singer-songwriter Chris Carraba, or rather Dashboard Confessional, will be headlining the Troubadour, breathing life back into his only true tour de force—2000's The Swiss Army Romance. Local blues-infused indie rock duo Rumspringa (LAist Review, #2), who recently released their debut full-length, 2010's Sway, are poised to take on the Bootleg Theater with none other than local psychedelic indie pop quartet Incan Abraham.
And, lastly, LA/Montreal-bred noise-pop duo No Joy, who are touring in support of their latest Mexican Summer-released endeavor, 2010's Ghost Blonde, will be gracing the Satellite with local post-punk act Dunes before hitting the road with Waaves and Best Coast. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Echo to catch LA-based indie rock trio Foster the People. LAist favorites, San Diegan buzz band LESANDS are slated to kick things off.
