DUI Checkpoint Tonight in Harbor Area

dui-checkpoint-sign.JPG The Los Angeles Police Department's Crime Task Force/Driving Under the Influence Enforcement Detail have their sights set on the Harbor area tonight, and will be running a sobriety and license checkpoint to further the goal of educating the public and getting intoxicated drivers off the road.

The checkpoint will be in the Wilmington area on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) between Broad and Eubank Avenues, and is scheduled to run 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The LAPD says the Harbor Division alone experienced 97 Driving Under the Influence-related traffic collisions during 2010. As always, if your plans include drinking, be sure to designate a driver, take a taxi, or use public transit.
