Surfers: Take Your Keys When You Paddle Out or Risk Burglary

keys.jpg Huntington Beach police are warning surfers not to do the typical "leave your keys under the grill of your car" thing before they hit the water, because a smart burglar has been finding the secret key stash spots, taking wallets, iPods and other property out of vehicles, then returning the keys to the "hiding spot," according to OrangeCounty.com. Police believe a string of recent surfer-car-theft is linked to the same man, described as a white male, 35-45, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 180 pounds, with a long, gray-blond goatee.
