Did the Happiest Place on Earth Turn Away Record Numbers of Unhappy Guests?
The the blizzard of people that got stuck on Space Mountain, waited in 80-minute-long ride lines and brought Disneyland operations to its knees over Monday and Tuesday may have set attendance records at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, according to LA Now.
Though tight-lipped Disneyland official have not shared official attendance figures, Disneyland blogger Al Lutz estimates that between 75,000 and 100,000 people made their way to the Happiest Place on Earth both Monday and Tuesday. Between the two parks, "they're close to 100,000 -- that's the record."
Why are people heading to Disneyland in droves this holiday? Lutz surmises it's all about the before-Christmas-rains. With a few days of semi-decent weather, the cabin-fevered visitors seized the opportunity to get outside and enjoy their vacation in style. Little did they know they were heading out to a less happy place than they expected.
Who among you is crazy enough to head to Disneyland today?
