The New Year is just around the corner and it's time for Angelenos to make crazy promises to themselves and others about what they hope to make good on in 2011 that they couldn't accomplish in 2010. It's a time to think about the good and bad that took place this year and to start fresh come January 1st.

What, we wondered, would happen if we turned the question around? Instead of thinking about what you'd like to change about yourself (or your schedule/work/habits), we asked a few of our readers to tell us: "What would you change about the city for 2011?"

Here are the top three responses:

1. End homelessness in L.A.
2. Solve our transportation problems
3. More stringent air pollution measures

Do these measure up to your resolutions for L.A.? What would you add to the list? If you could change one thing about the city next year, what would it be? Comment here or use #newyearsresolutionforla (h/t to @iluvpinkerton) on Twitter.

For the more positive among us, what will you celebrate about Los Angeles next year?
