LA's Community Colleges Seeking Snitches
Forget about higher education and cramming for final exams. The Los Angeles Community College District has announced a new whistleblower program for students to take part in, according to the Daily Breeze.
What's so important it requires snitch recruitment? A $5.7 billion bond-funded construction program that came under fire in March after it was revealed that bond money for the project was spent on "unauthorized, non-construction" activities.
The newly established hotline has been setup to accept any reports of fraud, waste or abuse witnessed by the public or those involved in the project. Callers can report allegations "without fear of reprisal" and are encouraged to note dates, times, witnesses to the events and provide a detailed description of the misconduct.
The hotline is (800) 851-3699. Get out there and report suspicious activity if you see it!
