School's In: Gang Moms, Dads Sent To Parenting Classes

Though other court-ordered classes exist on a local level, Assemblyman Tony Mendoza -- the lawmaker behind the Parent Accountability Act -- says its the first state law to give judges that power.
In the past month, classes have been implemented on a limited basis in the Los Angeles Unified School District, despite the law going into effect nearly a year ago.
