Officials from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health have shut down the Adult Industry Medical (AIM) clinic in Sherman Oaks, according to LA Now. The clinic had been operating without the appropriate license, and were denied their license on Tuesday.

A cease-and-desist order was delivered to the clinic this morning. AIM can provide referrals for clients and notify patients of test results, but cannot provide new services. There is a concern the clinic did not comply with state regulations for providing notification that an adult industry worker had tested positive for HIV at their facility. That performer came forward this week about his case.
