WALKING TOUR
Tonight, if you're headed to the Downtown Art Walk you might want to take advantage of The Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation's free Broadway Theatre District Walking Tours. Tours depart at 7 and 7:30 p.m., and no reservations are required. The tour runs 45 minutes, and will include the chance to learn about 1913 Morosco/Globe/Club 740 and a stroll by the theatres in the North end of the district. Meet on the 2nd floor of Clifton's Cafeteria at 7th and Broadway.

LIVE PERFORMANCES
Brevity Fest hits the stage at El Cid tonight in Silver Lake. Check out 15 talented performers and their new songs, new monologues and new true confessions as part of a "hodge-podge" of evening entertainment. 7:30pm, doors open at 7pm. The event is free but reservations are recommended. Reservations can be made via email.

HOLIDAY FUN & SWEET TREATS
Family and fun are on the menu today and tonight at Magnolia Bakery. All day, children who visit the bakery and bring a new unwrapped toy to donate to the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Spark of Love Toy Drive can decorate their own cupcake. This evening, from 6-9, guests can stop in for some free samples of their famous banana pudding, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider, and at 7 p.m. there will be a live cake decorating demo.

The Cantry is a one-stop trading post. Fulfill your holiday and winter privations by paying them a visit--you can hang out, barter, shop, eat, talk...it's about sharing and bringing people together. Tonight is the opening night of the event, which will be set up Thursdays-Sundays from 1-9 pm. through December 19th. Every night at 7 there's a hot meal served family-style.
