From Nuts to Pork: The Latest SoCal Food Product Recalls

Two Southern California companies are the focus of two new recalls, thanks to health concerns associated with their food products.

A salmonella scare is prompting the recall of El Guapo shelled walnuts, which are sourced from Visalia and distributed from Commerce-based Mojave Foods Corp., according to the Pasadena Star-News. They're recalling their 1-ounce packages of the product with a date code of 5527.

While we may question your decision in the first place to eat something called "ready-to-eat fried pork loaf," and, to a lesser extent, to purchase "raw pork paste," the US Department of Agriculture doesn't want you to eat those two items from Garden Grove's L&R Fine Fashions because the labels do not list wheat among the ingredients, according to CBS2.
