LA Clippers defeat Sacramento Kings 98-91. The Clippers had a 16-point lead going into the final quarter. Bad passes and ball movement plagued the Clippers as the Kings managed to take as much as a 91-87 lead with 2:35 left to go. Then Eric Gordon, not Blake Griffin, took over the game.

Layup, three-pointer, two free throws and a poke-away to cause a turnover. And with that the Clippers got the 98-91 win over the Kings.

That fourth quarter Kings run was sparked by Eugene “Pooh” Jeter (Jet-er, not the more famous Jeet-er) who scored all 11 of his points in the first half of the quarter. But Gordon had 29 points in that win giving him nine consecutive games of scoring 20 points or more. Interestingly enough that is second best to the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant whom the Clippers will host Wednesday night.
