Train Collides With Car In Palmdale

A Union Pacific train collided with an abandoned car on the railroad tracks in Palmdale early Saturday morning closing down east-west tracks for several hours. The L.A. County Sheriff's Department is searching for the owner of the abandoned vehicle to determine if the car was "stolen, broken down or left purposely on the tracks," according to KTLA. No injuries on the train were reported.
