An 18-year-old University of Southern California freshman was seriously injured early Monday morning after he fell from his sixth floor dorm room window, according to LA Now.

This morning, details about the events leading up to the mishap are coming to light, including the fact that the student, "identified in an email sent to some of the dorm’s residents as Jackson Roddy," had been at a two-day Halloween-themed rave, reports CBS.

Roddy had attended the "Hard Haunted Mansion 2010" event at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall. An investigator says "it appeared that the student had consumed alcohol, marijuana and the psychotropic drug Ecstasy," during the course of his "hard partying," according to the Times. However, "officials emphasized that they have not determined a direct connection between the event and the student's fall."

The student "suffered multiple broken bones and internal injuries," in his fall, which happened while his roommate was sleeping. Roddy "was listed Tuesday in critical condition at a local hospital."
