Video: Violent Attempted Purse Snatching in Venice Caught on Security Cameras

The LAPD is searching for suspects involved in an attempted purse snatching caught on video last week. At around 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, September 19th, a passenger exited a mini-van and approached a lone woman walking down a Venice street near Rose and Bernard (map).
The footage shows the suspect pushing her down before dragging her across the sidewalk, throwing a few punches and then dragging her into the street. The victim, who suffered minor cuts and bruises to her eyes, shoulders and hips, held on to the purse and the suspect gave up before escaping in the van.
Police describe the suspect as a male Hispanic, last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts, long white socks, and white tennis shoes with thick black shoe laces.
