'Ferris Buller' Actor Gets Probation in Sex Offender Case

jeffrey-jones-1986_l.jpg Happy 64th birthday, Jeffrey Jones...your gift is three years of formal probation and 250 hours of community service doing roadside cleanup. The Ferris Bueller's Day Off actor was in court in Los Angeles today to enter his plea of guilty for failing to renew his annual registration as a sex offender and to receive his sentence; Jones was arrested in late June. In the initial 2003 case, wherein Jones stood accused of paying a male minor to pose for sexually explicit photos, the actor pleaded no contest. Jones' sentencing today was lighter than it could have been; "he was facing a possible sentence of 3 years in state prison."
