Going Like Hotcakes - DWP Urges Energy Conservation During Heatwave
Welcome to the center of the sun. It might look like Southern California but it's not. It's the sun. And you live here now. But despite the ungodly hotness of the 100+ temperatures expected today, the DWP is urging people to conserve energy. Yesterday's demand reached 4763 megawatts and if there's concern that if we hit 1.21 gigawatts we'll all be transported to 1955. Please chill out responsibly. DWP has a checklist of helpful energy saving heatwave tips like adjusting the thermostat to 78 degrees or less and limiting appliance use during peak hours. Full list here.
