This weekend's predicted heat wave saw temps soar up into the 90s and 100s in the Los Angeles area, and there is no relief for today or into next week, in fact, Monday's temps could be even hotter.

The National Weather Serviced warns that the hot and dry weather will keep its grip on us until mid-week, when we can expect a cooling trend.

The hot weather means an increased fire hazard. "Red-flag fire warnings remain in effect, and firefighters have deployed to potential trouble spots in Pasadena, La Cañada-Flintridge, the Hollywood Hills and Santa Clarita," reports LA Now. Everyone is reminded to stay hydrated, wear a hat outside, and to take precautions to avoid contacting a heat-related illness.
